Dice Roller
Origin and History
When I first started making plugins, I noticed a requirement to post a premium plugin was to have 2
free resources, so I decided to make this plugin as a sample of my work, but as time went on and
people requested features, I formed it into a fully functioning plugin that many people find useful
for their server.
It was first created in 2016, but in early 2021 a user requested that I update it for newer versions
of Minecraft, so I recoded the plugin from the ground up, and added a couple of other features that
had been requested.
Features
Originally, Dice Roller had a small feature set, but after its recode it now has a larger feature set that make it more useful for any server owner running a role-playing server.
- Private Roll
- The basic roll for this plugin simply allows the user to roll a preset die, or roll a custom die of their choosing. The roll result is only shown to the player rolling.
- Broadcast Roll
- The broadcasted rolls are the same as private rolls, but as the name indicates, it is broadcasted to the server.
- Multi-Roll
- The multi-roll command allows players to roll multiple die (ie. 4 d6) and see the result of each roll, as well as the total for those rolls. This can be used in a private roll or a broadcasted roll.
- Heads
- The heads portion of Player Emotes Pro will show a head (aka face) on the player that can replace their helmet, and can even be animated in a loop. 50+ heads come already loaded, plus the user can add as many of their own as they want. This includes making animated faces as well. These were one of the first effects added and are still one of the best way to express emotion in the plugin.
